質問の回答 "an English saying goes"

There is an English saying goes,“You are what you eat.” の訳を質問された。 パット見して、構文文法を解読できない英文である。 そこで、似た英文がないかGoogleでネット検索 検索キーワードは、" there is an english saying that goes " (自分が子供のころにはネットがなくこんなことができなかった、便利な世の中である) すると、英語のWEBサイトで There is a saying goes/going/which goes[simple sentence or  There's a saying that goes... on Pinterest there's a saying which goes like this などの文字列がアルヨと、検索結果が出て来る。 そうか、" saying" と "goes"の間に "that"があるのが普通なんだ、、、。 質問の文では、that が省略されているのだね。 つまり、英文は There is an English saying (that) goes,“You are what you eat.” 文法は おおまかに {S:There {V:is} {C:an English saying (that) goes,“You are what you eat.”} より細かく {S:There} {V:is}  {C:an English saying  { (that) goes,“You are what you eat.”} } さらに細かく {S(形式主語):There} {V:is}  {C:an English saying  { (that) goes,  {“{S:You} {V:are} {C:what you eat}.”} } } もっと細かく {S(形式主語):There} {V:is}  {C
